Corozal, Belize (WBWTN) – Early Saturday morning, a man passed away suddenly outside his home in Concepcion Village, Corozal. The incident happened around 4:45 a.m. on May 31st, 2025.
The man, identified as 52 year old Nathaniel Lopez, had reportedly been struggling with chest pain the night before. According to his common-law wife, the pain had gotten worse overnight and had kept him from sleeping. She said this wasn’t the first time he experienced it, as he had been dealing with the issue for about six years but never sought medical help.
Around 4 a.m., Lopez stepped outside for some fresh air, hoping to ease his discomfort. His partner joined him briefly, and when he asked for a cup of coffee, she went inside to make it. Moments later, she heard a loud thud and rushed back outside, where she found him lying face down and unresponsive.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene and tried to revive him, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Lopez was later transported to the Corozal Community Hospital.
