MEDINA BANK VILLAGE, TOLEDO DISTRICT (WBWTN) – Romano Cal, 50, was brutally murdered just steps from his home.

Relatives say Cal had just parked his yellow bus in the yard Sunday night, when his own brother, Rafael Cal, allegedly ambushed him with a machete. The single, vicious chop to the neck left the victim bleeding out beside his vehicle as the attacker pedaled away into the darkness.

Neighbors made the grisly discovery after hearing commotion. They found Cal’s body partially covered by garbage bags and a blanket near his modest wooden home, his blood soaking the dirt where he fell.

“This was a good man who didn’t deserve to die like this,” said one shaken villager who asked not to be named. “Everyone here is in shock – brothers shouldn’t do this to each other.”

The killer remains at large, with police combing the area for Rafael Cal, last seen fleeing on bicycle toward the jungle. The motive remains unclear, though village whispers suggest a long-simmering family dispute may have finally boiled over.
