Beloved San Estevan Resident Passes Away Unexpectedly on Bus Ride Home

San Estevan Village, Orange Walk – A 61 year old woman was found unresponsive on a bus late Friday night in San Estevan.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. on June 6th. A Blue Bird bus had just returned from a Father’s and Mother’s Day celebration at a nearby park. As passengers began getting off, someone noticed that one woman wasn’t moving and quickly alerted the driver.

The driver pulled over on a quiet village street and went to check. She was seated on the third row and showed no signs of movement. A family member later confirmed her identity.

Those who knew her say she seemed fine during the event and had no known health problems. Her sudden passing has left many in shock especially those who had just spent the evening with her, laughing and celebrating.

Police arrived shortly after. There were no visible signs of injuries . She was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital, where she was officially pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. on June 7th.

Her body remains at the hospital awaiting a post mortem examination. Meanwhile, San Estevan Village is mourning the unexpected loss of someone many considered a kind and familiar presence in their lives.
