Unitedville, cayo (WBWTN) – People in Unitedville Village were left shocked on Wednesday after a decomposed body was discovered at the cemetery.
The body, found around 3:44 in the afternoon, was that of a man wearing a green t-shirt over a black undershirt, black three-quarter pants, a black cap, and black and white Nike slippers. His body was already in a bad state, and sadly, he had what looked like gunshot wounds one near his neck, one on his shoulder, and another to the stomach.
A single spent shell was also found a few feet away from the body.
Local authorities were called in, and the scene was processed. The body has since been taken to the forensic lab for a post-mortem to find out more about what happened.
No one knows who the man is. Even the village chairman and several residents tried to help with identification, but no one recognized him.
People in the area say it’s unusual and concerning, especially for a quiet place like Unitedville. Investigations are ongoing.
