BELIZE CITY –Two men were gunned down in a early morning drive by on Ebony Street, but neither victim is willing to spill the details.
The shooting erupted around 3:15 a.m. Saturday as 31 year old Devon Vasquez and 29 year old Keon Usher were hanging out in an open area. A red vehicle pulled up, and a gunman riding in the back seat unleashed a hail of bullets, striking both men in the left thigh before speeding off into the night.
The men were taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
Both men have clammed up, leaving cops with little to go on. Officers collected several 9mm shell casings at the scene, but no suspects have been identified.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
