Belize City, (WBWTN) — A man has been charged following a significant burglary at a fashion retail store in Belize City that resulted in losses estimated at over $50,000.
The break-in occurred sometime between the evening of Friday, 13 June, and the early hours of Sunday, 15 June, at Savage Beauty and Fashion, a clothing and accessories shop in the city.
The incident came to light on Monday morning, when the business owner arrived to find the store had been forcibly entered. Items reported stolen include hundreds of pieces of men’s and women’s clothing, fashion accessories, jewellery, and branded apparel. The missing inventory ranged from graphic T-shirts and denim jeans to sunglasses, crossbody bags, and designer socks. The estimated value of the stolen goods totals BZD $50,725.
Following inquiries, one individual, identified as Kenny White, has since been charged in connection with the burglary. Police have not disclosed further details, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Authorities have not indicated whether any of the stolen items have been recovered.
