Punta Gorda, Belize – A family from San Vicente Village in southern Belize is mourning the sudden and unexpected loss of 25 year old Pedro Selestino Coc, who passed away on Tuesday night.
According to reports, Coc began experiencing health issues on June 6th, starting with itchy toes. Over the next few days, the condition worsened as swelling spread up his leg to his thigh. Despite the progression, he reportedly did not seek medical attention.
On June 10th, Coc complained of chest pain before collapsing. He was taken to the Punta Gorda Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
According to Police the body showed visible swelling and a purplish discoloration to the face. A medical examination will be conducted to establish the official cause of death.
